Sunday, February 11, 2007 a message in the emb reads:
Dear colleagues and students,
The Hwa Chong NCC unit has been recognised as the Training Centre of
Excellence for Precision Drill by Dr. Arthur Beng, Chairman of NCC
Council and Lt. Col. Colin Wong, Commandant NCC HQ.
This achievement would not have been possible if not for the hard
work of NCC Cadets, both past and present. I would like to make a
special commendation to the following college students who have
sacrificed much of their time in organising the inauguration
ceremony held on Friday, 9 February as well as for their continued
enthusiasm and support for NCC training in the future.

I would like to thank them for all the effort they have put in to
make the Centre of Excellence a success and reality for HCI NCC. I
hope that by their example, more Hwa Chong NCC Alumni will step
